The Portland Trailblazers compete in the Western Conference Northwest Division of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Blazer’s team was formed as part of the NBA expansion in 1970. The Portland Trailblazers have had many great players since the team’s inception. In 1977, Bill Watson took the Blazers to their first NBA Finals. That year they won the NBA Finals and Bill Watson was named the NBA Finals MVP. The Portland Trailblazers currently play their home games at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
