Kendrick Lamar, short for Kendrick Lamar Duckworth, is a rapper who grew up in Compton, California. The hip-hop roots in Compton are deep. 'DAMN.' included heavy themes like racism but also love and personal reflection for the megastar. Lamar toured for 'DAMN.' following its release.
